Account Deletion

This page explains how users of the Dragon Worlds HK 2027 mobile app can request deletion of their account and associated personal data.

Delete Your Account In-App

You can delete your account directly in the app: open More → Profile → Delete Account and confirm. The App first removes account-linked server data and stored profile images, then removes the Firestore profile and Firebase Authentication identity. If required cleanup fails, the identity remains available so you can retry safely.

Request Account Deletion by Email

If you can no longer access the app, email us from the address associated with your app account:

• Email: privacy@better.at
• Subject: Account deletion request

Please include the email address used to sign in to the app. We may ask you to confirm ownership of the account before completing the deletion request.

What Data Is Deleted

When in-app deletion or a verified email request is completed, we delete or anonymize personal data associated with your app account, including:

• Account profile information, such as name, email address, and profile photo if provided
• Authentication records associated with the app account
• All profile images stored under the account's Firebase Storage directory
• Account-linked app analytics rows
• Expo push registration and follow state
• Notification preferences and the DragonWorlds server profile mirror
• WhatsApp or Telegram bot-link records and unconsumed link codes associated with the account
• Saved party-member names, email addresses, relationships, and dietary notes stored under the account
• Local app preferences, cached analytics, role selections, and other user-scoped app state

Data We May Retain

Some information may be retained where necessary for legal, security, operational, or event-record purposes, including:

• Records required for fraud prevention, abuse prevention, security logging, or legal compliance
• Official event, race result, shipping, registration, scoring, or notice records that are managed independently of the App account
• Messages or support communications sent through external services, which may need a separate deletion request
• Backups retained for a limited period before routine deletion

Deletion Timeline

We aim to process account deletion requests within 30 days after verifying the request. Backup copies may remain for a limited period as part of routine backup retention, after which they are deleted or overwritten.
